Pharyngula readers: what a handsome bunch!

While I was stuck at home coughing up greenish phlegm, a gaggle of previously unacquainted Pharyngula readers descended (as planned) on the Doric Arch near Euston Station in London. Malcolm FCD reports by email:
"We started at the Doric Arch, and went on for a pizza. We pretty well agreed we'd like to do something similar in 6 - 8 weeks... Starting with Debi on the left and going clockwise around the table, we were ___, ___, Malcolm, ___, ___, ___ and ___. Disclaimer - I don't know who wants their names published... Malcolm (posting as Malcolm, FCD)"
I'm really bent that I couldn't make it, but delighted to hear there will be a next time! I think you'll agree, this looks like an excellent bunch of people. If you were there and don't mind having your name attached with your face, please let me know in the comments and I'll fill in the blank that corresponds to you.

I would like to attend the next meeting if possible - how does one get details?

coturnix, only if you promise to bring Professor Steve Steve! Also, that sounds like the perfect opportunity for the squid tour at the NHM. Keep me updated on your travel plans.

malky, maybe some other blogger will volunteer to organise this time. if not, I suppose I can do it here on Data Not Shown again. Let's see if anyone steps up.

I was going to suggest that you meet at The Thatched House Tavern in St James's Street, because Charles Darwin used to go there occasionally to meet his friends from the Royal Society - but it turns out the place was demolished in 1862.

It was a nice idea, though.

excitement over the pub i get... but this much fervor over english pizza?

really?

must have been one hell of a good conversation...

just kidding (sort of)...

Rick, yes, British pizza does suck, but I wouldn't go as far as to say "then we went on for a pizza" counts as "fervor". Sigh, I miss good American pizza...

Sorry I didn't make it -- I was still way down south london at 7pm and decided that after a long week I couldn't face another hour on the bus. Will certainly go for the next one, especially if it's on a week day evening.

I am moving back to London from mid-April and I would like to attend to your meetings if possible.
Could somebody let me know details?

Sorry I couldn't make it down. There seemed to be an inordinate amount of birthdays [spring holiday humping, I assume] and an 'Anonymous' march that day.
You should really try and avoid dates like that in the future.

Will hope to make the next one...if James Randi's lecture in London doesn't clash.
